What you get when you buy watch hours
A watch-hour package adds viewing time to your channel, delivered progressively on your public long-form videos. The viewing comes from traffic supplied by partner providers, from sources you don’t choose or control.
There’s a single tier, from 100 to 4,000 hours, starting at €9.99, with a guarantee that the full quantity is delivered. Your videos have to stay public until delivery is complete.
Progressive delivery takes time, especially on large packages. The times below are indicative estimates, not commitments.
| Package size | Indicative delivery time |
|---|---|
| 100 hours | 3–7 days |
| 500 hours | 7–14 days |
| 1,000 hours | 14–30 days |
| 2,000 hours | 21–45 days |
| 3,000 to 4,000 hours | 30–60 days |
How to calculate YouTube watch hours
Watch hours follow a simple formula: hours = views × average view duration in minutes ÷ 60. Average view duration is one of the standard metrics in YouTube Analytics.
At a 10-minute average, 4,000 hours take about 24,000 views (24,000 × 10 ÷ 60 = 4,000), and 8,000 hours take about 48,000 views. At a 5-minute average, the same 4,000 hours take about 48,000 views.
These are approximations, because averages vary from one video to the next. For the YouTube Partner Program, only qualified watch time on public long-form videos within the counting window matters.
| Average view duration | Views for 1,000 hours | Views for 4,000 hours | Views for 8,000 hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 minutes | 20,000 | 80,000 | 160,000 |
| 5 minutes | 12,000 | 48,000 | 96,000 |
| 10 minutes | 6,000 | 24,000 | 48,000 |
| 20 minutes | 3,000 | 12,000 | 24,000 |
What changes on February 1, 2027
From February 1, 2027, new applicants to the YouTube Partner Program need 1,000 subscribers plus 8,000 qualified watch hours in the last 365 days, or 20 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days. Until then, the long-form threshold is 4,000 qualified watch hours in the last 12 months.
Channels already in the program keep their status, according to YouTube. From the same date, they must meet an activity requirement: 1,000 qualified watch hours in the past 365 days, 1 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days, or 2 long-form videos or 5 Shorts uploaded every 90 days.
No watch-hour package replaces qualified watch hours, under the current rules or the new ones. Our monetization guide lays out every threshold with its official sources.
What counts as a qualified watch hour
YouTube only counts qualified watch hours from long-form videos you’ve set to public. Watch time from the sources below doesn’t count toward Partner Program thresholds.
The counting window is rolling. Hours older than 12 months drop out of today’s threshold, and the 2027 threshold looks at the last 365 days.
- Private, unlisted or deleted videos
- Ad campaigns
- YouTube Shorts, including watch time from Shorts in the Shorts Feed
- Live streams that are unlisted, deleted or not converted to video on demand (VOD)
What YouTube’s policy says about artificial watch time
YouTube’s fake engagement policy states: “YouTube doesn’t allow anything that artificially increases the number of views, likes, comments, or other metrics either by using automatic systems or serving up videos to unsuspecting viewers.” Watch time is built from views, the first metric the policy names.
The policy is direct about the result: “Page traffic found to be artificial will not be counted on YouTube and can lead to strikes on your account.” If a channel gets three strikes within 90 days, YouTube says it may be terminated.
It also warns: “If you hire someone to promote your channel, their decisions may impact your channel.” To put it plainly, buying watch hours doesn’t guarantee admission to the YouTube Partner Program, YouTube can remove these hours or never count them if it judges them artificial, and that decision is YouTube’s alone.
What we never ask for
We only need the link to your channel, since the hours go to your public long-form videos. Nothing else is required to deliver an order.
If someone claiming to be us asks for a password, a code or access to your channel, it isn’t us. Don’t share anything, and tell us through our contact page.
- Your Google Account or YouTube password
- 2-Step Verification codes or backup codes
- Owner or manager access to your channel
When buying watch hours isn’t a good idea
A watch-hour package adds viewing time; it doesn’t make a channel eligible for anything. It’s the wrong choice in these cases.
- You’re trying to qualify for the Partner Program: YouTube may not count these hours, and it reviews each channel against its policies before accepting it.
- Your channel mostly publishes Shorts: watch time from Shorts in the Shorts Feed doesn’t count toward watch-hour thresholds.
- You have few or no public long-form videos, or you plan to make them private or unlisted soon.
- You need the hours by a specific date: large packages take weeks, and delivery times are only indicative.
- Your channel already has a Community Guidelines strike: artificial traffic can lead to more.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get 4,000 watch hours?
Plan on 30–60 days for 3,000 to 4,000 hours. Smaller packages are faster, starting at 3–7 days for 100 hours, and all of these times are indicative.
Will these hours count toward the YouTube Partner Program?
We can’t promise that. YouTube only counts qualified watch hours, says traffic it finds artificial isn’t counted, and reviews every channel that applies.
Which of my videos receive the hours?
Your public long-form videos. Shorts and private or unlisted videos aren’t used for this service, so keep your long-form videos public until delivery is complete.
Can I order watch hours for a new channel?
Yes, if it already has public long-form videos. Start with a small package, and keep in mind that YouTube decides what it counts, whatever the size of the channel.
What if my hours aren’t fully delivered?
The full delivery guarantee covers the quantity you ordered. If hours are still missing after the indicative period, contact us with your order number and we’ll complete the order.
How do I pay, and can I get an invoice?
You can pay by Visa or Mastercard, with 3-D Secure if your bank asks for it, or with cryptocurrency, and you’re always charged in euros. If your card is in dollars or pounds, your bank converts the amount and may add a foreign transaction fee. For an invoice, check “I want an invoice” at checkout; it’s issued in euros and stays in your customer account.
Can I cancel my order or get a refund?
The conditions are set out in our Terms of Service, under “Right of Withdrawal” and “Refund Policy.” Read them before you order, since processing starts as soon as payment is confirmed, and contact us with your order number if something goes wrong.
